Have you ever been walking along, licking a delicious ice cream cone and suddenly stepped right in a big pile of dog crap?

It’s happened to all of us for sure — literally and figuratively.

And from that moment on, it seems all we can do is worry about the crap on our shoe while the delicious ice cream melts down our wrist.

For me, that is the most valuable lesson among many in a video that I would love for you to see. It is a TED Talk being given by my friend, John Halcyon Styn, entitled: Gratitude, Gifting and Grandpa.

I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Halcyon — we don’t call him John — for the first time at Burning Man a few years ago and what an amazing human being this man is. And so is his grandpa.

This video is important to see.
You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. The message is one that I need to continually hear.

You’ll notice right off that Halcyon has pink hair.
If you’re one of those prone to judge people by how they look, I’ll just ask that you first set that aside for the 17 minutes needed to see this presentation and really take in what Halcyon has to share. Afterwards, if you want to go back to judging, then you get that choice.
